Pro Motocross opens at Fox Raceway on May 30; MXGP heads to Germany with Ducati's factory line-up already changing.
AMA Pro Motocross
Race week has arrived at Fox Raceway in Pala, with the 2026 Pro Motocross Championship opening on Saturday, May 30. The official preview puts the spotlight on Haiden Deegan's first outdoor 450 start and on Jett Lawrence's status after his ankle injury. Pala is not a neutral opener: Lawrence has built one of the strongest track records in the field there, while Deegan arrives with deep local mileage and huge expectations.
MXGP
The MXGP picture changed from a simple Ducati expansion story into a sharper factory-team question. MXGP's official news reports that Ducati and Jeremy Seewer have parted ways with immediate effect, while the team continues with Andrea Bonacorsi and Calvin Vlaanderen from the German Grand Prix at Teutschenthal. That removes the most experienced name from the original Ducati 450 group and puts more pressure on the remaining riders to prove the programme quickly.
Championship context
The standings are supporting context rather than the headline. MXGP remains tight at the front with Lucas Coenen and Jeffrey Herlings close together, while MX2 still has Simon Laengenfelder ahead of Sacha Coenen and Guillem Farres. With Germany arriving immediately, these gaps make Teutschenthal more than another round: it is the next pressure test for the title contenders and for Ducati's reworked programme.
