Hangtown reshaped the Pro Motocross points picture, Thunder Valley is next, and MXGP/MX2 team movement stays in view.
Race result with championship implications
Jett Lawrence returned to the front at Hangtown on June 6 with a 1-1 in the 450 class, while Hunter Lawrence’s 2-2 kept him on top of the championship table. The official report also underlined that Jett is still coming back from a major offseason ankle injury, which makes the next round important for more than raw speed: Thunder Valley will show whether the comeback can hold under a different physical load.
Upcoming round
Thunder Valley is the next Pro Motocross stop on June 13 at Thunder Valley Motocross Park in Lakewood, Colorado. The official event page lists the round as the third Pro Motocross race of the summer and confirms the race-day streaming and NBC windows. The setting changes the technical picture: altitude, engine response and sustained lap tempo should matter more than they did at Hangtown.
MXGP / MX2 team news
The MXGP item in this briefing is team-market movement rather than a race recap: Yamaha’s factory MX2 structure is set around Karlis and Janis Reisulis for 2026. That gives the European side of the digest a forward-looking angle alongside the current MXGP and MX2 standings blocks below.
