Wil Hahn will move across to lead Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s 450 operation after serving as the organization’s 250 General Manager. Martin Davalos has been appointed to Hahn’s former position and will work alongside Jensen Hendler, who remains 250 Team Manager with responsibility for the program’s operational and technical logistics.
Hahn brings extensive knowledge of Star Racing’s internal system. He joined the organization in 2017 after ending his riding career, managed its 250 team through the 2021 Supercross season and returned ahead of the 2025 Pro Motocross campaign. Star Racing credits his tenure with contributing to 11 number-one plates for the 250 program.
Davalos arrives with experience on both sides of a professional race team. His 16-year AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross career ended in 2021, after which he moved into management. His assignment extends beyond the professional roster to include Star Racing’s amateur program, rider development and recruitment.
The appointments are already in effect, leaving no extended handover before the September 12 SMX postseason opener in Columbus. That makes the playoffs an immediate test of Hahn’s move into the premier-class structure and Davalos’s integration into one of the sport’s most productive 250 programs.
